Patching Tutorial. By Alejandro Rodriguez. Last revised Aug 29, 2018. Intro; Patching? Video Tutorial. But if you download the patch from my site, then look under the patch's download link for a note, it'll tell you the exact patch you need to use. You don't need to do anything special to load patched ROMs onto the RetroN 5.

Hello everyone, was wondering if anyone who owns a Retron 5 could answer a couple of questions I have (or if you know a post I can be redirected to that can answer these questions, I did some searching, but still had a few questions).
I'm generally a purist when it comes to retro consoles (I own the original systems for all home Nintendo Consoles NES through Wii U), but am interested in the Retron 5 for a few reasons. Alesis micron patch download.
A.) I'm heading to college really far from home, and and am thinking it will be a more practical option for taking up less space B.) I like the idea of being able to play Famicom/Super Famicom games translated on a TV.
Need for speed carbon v1 2 trainer. From what I understand, the console is emulation based. This makes me wonder if there is an issue with cartridges going back and forth between the originals and the Retron. For example: if on Donkey Kong Country on my original SNES, I get to Stop and Go Station, and then play it on my Retron and get to Snow Barrel Blast. Since it's an emulator, will I still be able to pick up where I left off on the Retron if I plug it back into my original SNES, or will I have to go back to where I started on my SNES, loosing the progress made on the Retron?
Mostly concerned about this if I want to replay a fairly long RPG like Chrono Trigger, and maybe want to restart it in college, and finish it on my original system when I get back home.
And for running emulation patches (mostly looking at translation patches for Famicom games), will I need to purchase an SD card separately to run the patches, or can I do that just by owning the Retron? And how dependent is the Retron on a good wifi connection, if it's emulation based? (Just want to make sure I get cut off from playing Fire Emblem or DBZ Super Butouden every time the power goes out or something).
Hope this post isn't too lengthy- thanks for taking a look at it!
